The Local Yolk in Manhattan Beach

Nice, friendly breakfast diner in Manhattan Beach. The food and service was good. Decent coffee. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Parking can be very tough - unless you come early (before 8:30am).

Everything was delicious! The jalapeno hashbrowns were especially good! Service was efficient and courteous! Will come again next time in LA Manhattan Beach!

Great diner serving breakfast and lunch. The "side salad" I received with my turkey wrap for lunch was plenty by itself. Very friendly and quick service. Fantastic omelets.

Family friendly, outstanding service, and tasty food. This was our first visit and it was definitely worth the trip. I love that as soon as we sat down, the staff brought muffins and fruit to the table for my young boys to enjoy right away.

I would describe the Local Yolk as diner food with a bit of a Hispanic twist. The omelet was good, and I enjoyed the biscuit. I would have liked to see more unique things on the menu

Amazing wait staff and really good food! The omelets are the best thing on the menu, in my opinion. It's my go to breakfast spot in the LA area. The atmosphere is really chill, you get to pick where you'd like to sit. The waiters are always really respectful and are timely with their service. There are bathrooms inside. The outside patio is dog friendly and you get to enjoy that ocean breeze on hotter mornings. I can't reccomend the Local Yolk enough.

Great spot. Has that classic "old diner feel" The staff is kind, cheerful, and prompt. They do the small things well. For example, we bring our 1 year-old daughter and they always bring a small serving of fruit and a muffin for her.

Came here with the wife while hanging out on the beach. Friendly staff give this place a good vibe. Good breakfast place with generous portions, and the mocha was really good too.

I was expecting more of a "Manhattan Beach" vibe, like the usual sidewalk cafes there. This spot is more like a diner. And for a diner, the food was good. The homemade biscuit that came with my omelets was huge.

Great portions, plenty of interesting takes on breakfast omelettes, fresh out of the oven biscuits and muffins, endless diner style coffee, nice location with outdoor seating, and extremely friendly wait staff! Couldn't ask for a better experience. I definitely will be back!

Come here at least one weekend a month, if not more often. Staff bring a little bit of fruit and a small muffin when they see my little kid. Really nice touch so the kid doesn't fuss while we wait for our order. And the biscuits are amazing.

Great food and friendly staff. Alex was especially helpful and quick to top off your coffee. Popular with locals and is right up the street from the beach. I didn't have any problem finding parking even though it was a Friday. Prices are reasonable too!

The service was a bit off! The Asian ladies (owner/manager?) just followed me with their eyes the whole time I was there. Also, the endless "what can I do for you?" from most of the staff just isn't a way of treating a paying customer. I've noticed people that came after me did not even get bothered beside the "hello/hi/welcome".I'll make sure to let my neighbors and friends in the neighborhood about your constant monitoring of a customer sitting at the kitchen counter waiting for the food he ordered by phone.

I came with my husband and one year old son on a busy Saturday morning. The moment we sat down, the waiter brought a small muffin and some fruit for my son, free of charge. The staff was very friendly, even though it was extremely hectic. The food was awesome; perfect portions and great value. I even bought a T-shirt for my son. Highly, highly recommended!

Love the breakfast here. The wait crew always treats me and the family great and the food is always on point. I usually get the California omelet with hashbrowns and a home-made biscuit.

service was great, coffee was strong, pancakes were fluffy, hash browns were thick cut and crispy. i ordered an omelette with cheese, sausage and bacon. the omelette had sausage and bacon on the inside and was topped with off sausage and bacon on the outside. they gave complementary cantaloupe and banana muffin

First of all the location is great. Once inside my family and I were warmly greeted, like we were regulars. We had omelettes, French toast, biscuits, corned beef hash, toast, muffins, espresso,coffee, juice and everything was well prepared and tasty. I will come back again and again. Thank you local yolk

Small little joint on highland with good food and great staff. The menu is well rounded with some traditional American and Mexican dishes(good tasting coffee too!).Good portion of food at a fair price. The staff are attentive to the customers so that was plus. Only bad thing I can say about this place is the location. Very little parking and the streets are super tiny. This establishment accepts credit/debit. Definitely planning on coming again.

The food here was good, but not great, at the time. Unfortunately, don't expect to find mimosas or bloody Marys! Could be a coincidence, but a friend and I both are here and then we both proceeded to get very sick to the stomach about 9 hours later, and this place was the commonality.

Wonderful breakfast place, very fresh! Grab your food and eat down the hill on the boardwalk. Great atmosphere, nice dine in facility, very clean. Good variety of dishes, veg friendly.

We went this morning for our Anniversary breakfast. Food was good but our waitress was very unfriendly. After eating i went to Pay, there was a Gentleman in front of me paying his Bill and the same Waitress was handling it. She gave him his change in his hand. Me on the other hand, she counted my change out to me and sat it on the counter and walked away. She just reminded me that my Money is good enough to Spend there and thats it. I'll encourage Family and Friends to Not support them.

Z is great. She give both wonderfully friendly and professional. The Manhattan Beach omelette tastes great. We sat outside. While there is a community feel, I drive from Topanga Canyon to enjoy lunch here on Sundays.
